Inclusion - What and Why . . .
 
In May of 2004, Marshfield United Methodist Church celebrated its fifth anniversary of becoming a Reconciling Congregation. One of the church activities at the time was for members of all ages to provide statements of their own thoughts about Inclusiveness, and the statements, in pairs, are reproduced below.

What does it mean to be inclusive?

To follow Jesus’ example to love everyone without compromise; to be inclusive in my love.

Why is inclusiveness important?

So no one feels left out or lonely and everyone participates in things that we do.
